Hello ! I'm Ramya Reddy, a photo-artist based in Bangalore, India. This blog is a place where I share my musings and impressions from my photographer's diary.
Drawn to the poetic and the ephemeral, my photographic process involves smudging of lines between dreamscapes and the physically visible world. The inspiration for my work comes from both imaginary places and the real world, from chaos and stillness, from the darkest of days and the blooming brightest ones. I could simply say that I like to find stillness in the chaos, imaginary in the real, light in the dark and vice versa. In alignment with the kind of work I like to do, as far as I am concerned seeing is not a unilateral process but a sensorial one that extends beyond the physical act of seeing itself: it is about conveying, in a frame, the salty notes of the sea air, the howling of wind in the mountains, the secrets behind a shaman's gaze, the mysteries in the shadows and beauty in the mundane.
